I found both the Leader Class and Voyager Class Optimus Prime transformer toys by Hasbro.

Optimus Prime was requested by my nephew, JM, and I decided on the Voyager Class version. I figured that he wouldn't be able to appreciate the complexity of the Leader Class.

I also got them at their original prices (plus tax and shipping)!

And of course, I get to keep the Leader Class indefinitely for my collection. Life is full. :)

As a foil to the noble leader of the Autobots, I will probably look for the megalomaniac Decepticon leader Megatron and the treacherous Starscream (always a favorite).

 

Confirmed: Character from 'Prince of Tennis' Anime Killed the Dinosaurs With Special Move

Kunimitzu Tezuka from the popular tennis anime Prince of Tennis drove the dinosaurs to extinction by executing one of his special moves. It's true. And he's only 14 years old.

I wish tennis was this exciting in real life.

(Update: This scene was a parody of Final Fantasy 7's Safer-Sephiroth's final attack and was meant to be funny.)

Bringing Back Geeky Anime Memories

I'm actually out of touch with the anime world for years now and this is the first cosplay event that I've see up close. What happened was I was on the bus to work and I pass by this convention center at Harmon Meadows all the time, right... I wasn't paying attention so I didn't notice that there was an unusual proportion of geeky-looking kids on my bus until they all got off the bus at the convention center stop and I saw this kid crossing the street in a Samurai costume...

I don't know who the guy in the orange costume is supposed to be, but the girl in the red wig is the character "Ed" from Cowboy Bebop. I wish I knew who most of them are supposed to be though...

UPDATE: The guy in orange is Naruto. I heard that series is big nowadays.

UPDATE: The guy is Gene from Outlaw Star (never saw it. thank Dennis.) and the girl is Rikku from Final Fantasy X.

Kagome and Inu Yasha

This girl is a character from "Bleach". No idea what that series is about.
